Thrifty Dog Thrift Store
Providing funding for organizations to better the animal welfare gap is no easy task. It takes an army of supporters and donors to accomplish. We know that it may be difficult to donate money at times, and we realize that all items have value which can be used towards our mission. Thrifting helps animals!
Our Story
In 2017, through Southeastern Guide Dogs, we became a Puppy Raiser for the “Future Superhero” 9 week old Yellow Labrador, Jennings —a pure bundle of joy. During the 11 short months of fostering Jenni and seeing her demeanor change while training to become a guide dog for the blind, we knew she was something special. After sending Jenni off to “college”, we knew there was more that we had to do for people with disabilities and animals in general, here locally. This is when we decided to start our own nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization and incorporate a thrift store for the cause as well, called Thrifty Dog Thrift Store. Since we opened our doors, in January of 2018, we have had nothing but positive feedback from the community. Its people like you that have helped us impact lives of animals. Our fight has just begun and we look forward to what the future has to offer.
Paws up,
Lee Ann Loffler, President
